“Strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet”
– Lauren Martin
Welcome to my very first blog post! It is a little bit exciting to be able to share with you some amazing client stories, tips and what happens behind the lens, if you decide to hang around over the next few months.
One of my most asked questions is: Who is Little Sprout Photography? It is something many clients, enquiring clients have asked over the past year, and probably something you are wondering right now! Little Sprout Photography is based on my passion for all things babies and children. With a little sprout of my own (this is the another of my most asked questions: she is 3, going on 16!) I know just how precious they are and how fast time seems to fly.
So this is me, Tabatha… here’s a quick snap so you can put a face to the name! I don’t do this alone though, you will occasionally see my wonderful helpers Brooke, Debbie, Jamie & Shannyn either at markets & expo’s, our pop up studio and from time to time as my assistant during your session. However, I am sure they will most likely kill me if I upload photo’s of them here!
I won’t bore you with the technical jargon of my qualifications, or that I started photography at a young age in our front yard with my mum’s film camera and my best friend as my model (we had a beautiful rose garden which made for the most amazing photo’s by the way), instead I want you to get to know the real me a little more, I will keep it short and sweet tho!
Everyone kept asking when we were going to extend our family, so we did! A few months ago we welcomed 4 little feet into our family, our gorgeous little staffy puppy, Winston. My daughter smothers him with so much love, we are lucky he’s so cuddly! As part of this years resolution, you know the ones we make at the start of the year, and then forget about until next year when we do it all over again, was to get healthy & be more happy within myself. So, a few months went by, then I started eating healthier meals, going to the gym and enjoying life as much as possible.
Here is my little secret to success: love what you do, do what you love. Over the past few months following this by doing more of what I love. The biggest change was our re-brand to Little Sprout Photography, I stopped photographing weddings and other things I just wasn’t passionate about. I love that I get to photograph and meet adorable little people and their families, seeing your children grow over the years and the addition of new family members, it is such an honor to be apart of your journey. Motherhood is an incredible adventure so I cherish being able to share it with you, as well as spending time with my family creating our own memories together that we can laugh about during your session as we share our stories. This happiness has provided me with much more then I ever could imagine, the confidence I have re-gained is exhilarating and it is something I want you to have too, I almost forgot I had it! Confidence is something that exists inside us all, dig deep and find it, as confidence is the best outfit you can ever wear!
Enough about me, what is your winning success secret or your favorite inspiring quote?
